ENERGY REPORTING. SMARTER OPERATIONS.

Better data.
Better buildings.
Less wasted energy.

Energy benchmarking and reporting support for building owners and property managers. Establish reliable data today, then build a practical path to more efficient operations and electrification.

YOUR BUILDING. A CLEARER PICTURE.

Measure what matters.
Improve what comes next.

DATA → OPERATIONS → ELECTRIFICATION

A BETTER STARTING POINT

You have a building to run.
We help make sense of its energy.

Utility bills, missing meter data, annual submissions, and changing local requirements can pull your team away from daily operations. Start with a reliable baseline and a reporting process you can repeat.

WHAT WE DO

Start with reporting.
Build toward performance.

One practical path, from organizing your data to planning your building’s next chapter.

YOUR FIRST ENGAGEMENT

A clear reporting scope.
A useful set of deliverables.

Whether this is your first reporting cycle or an annual renewal, start with the data and requirements specific to your property.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

Property & reporting review

Confirm the address, building use, floor area, reporting program, deadlines, and prior submissions. Agree on responsibilities and required authorizations.

THE CORE WORK

Data & benchmark preparation

Organize utility records, check meter coverage and reporting periods, resolve gaps, and prepare or update the ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager property.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

Reporting & handover package

Receive the prepared reporting data, submission status, receipts where available, a record of outstanding items, and the next-cycle preparation list.

Support that fits your team.We coordinate with owners, property managers, utilities, and authorized technical partners. Any required engineering certification or specialist verification is scoped separately.

OUR APPROACH

Less chasing data.
More clarity at every step.

Start with one property or a portfolio. Establish a process your team can carry forward.

01 / DISCOVER

Know what applies

Confirm the property profile, reporting jurisdiction, applicable programs, and who is responsible for each task.

02 / ORGANIZE

Build the baseline

Gather utility and property data. Reconcile meter coverage, reporting periods, and gaps before preparing the benchmark.

03 / REPORT

Close the loop

Prepare the reporting package, coordinate authorized submissions, and retain the receipt and supporting records.

04 / IMPROVE

Find the next move

Use the baseline to identify priorities for operational review and future investment, with the right technical partners.

REPORTING ESSENTIALS

Reporting is the beginning.
Performance is the goal.

Benchmarking measures how your building uses energy. Reporting communicates the required information. A building performance standard may also require improvements over time.

Requirements depend on location, floor area, property use, and program rules. There is no single nationwide size threshold or reporting deadline.

YOUR REPORTING STARTER KIT

Five things to gather first

  1. Property address, use, and gross floor area
  2. Utility data covering the required reporting period
  3. Meter inventory and tenant / common-area coverage
  4. Existing Portfolio Manager access, if available
  5. Agency notices, prior submissions, and due dates

A preparation guide. Your local program may request additional information.

GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you get started.

Does every building need to report?

No. Mandatory reporting applies to buildings covered by specific state or local programs. Coverage and exemptions vary. Voluntary benchmarking can also help owners understand performance.

Will benchmarking make my building compliant?

Benchmarking can be one reporting requirement. It does not by itself satisfy every applicable requirement or prove that a building meets a performance standard. We start by defining the specific reporting scope.

What if some utility data is missing?

Start by identifying which meters and periods are missing and who can authorize access. We help coordinate data collection and document gaps. Any alternative data approach must follow the applicable program’s rules.

Can we start without replacing equipment?

Yes. Reporting and data organization are a useful first step. Future operational reviews can examine schedules, setpoints, controls, and maintenance before major capital projects are considered.

How will operations and electrification services work?

These are planned expansion areas. The intended approach combines owner-side coordination with qualified controls, engineering, and installation partners. Technical scope and availability will be agreed for each engagement.

START WITH A CLEAR SCOPE

Make your next
reporting cycle easier.

Describe your building and your immediate goal. Create a project brief to share with your team as you prepare for a reporting conversation.

This planner downloads a brief to your device. It does not submit an inquiry or upload your information.
